Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is listed for PlayStation 5 only. This checklist is for people who want the console ready before Sony names a week. It complements PS5 and platforms and how to prepare. Tick items when you actually do them, not when a rumour says the game is “next month.”

Console and storage

• Confirm you own a disc or digital PS5 that still receives system updates.

• If you use a headset, turn on 3D audio in the PS5 sound menu and listen to a game you already own. Intergalactic’s isolation pitch will live or die on quiet mixes; the soundtrack page explains why.
• Note your TV’s VRR and ALLM toggles now. Official performance modes do not exist yet, but you will not want to hunt HDMI settings on launch night.

Account and store

• Sign into PSN on the console you will actually play on.
• Wishlist the official listing. That is the only product page that can legally sprout a preload.
• Enable email or app notifications for wishlist items.
• Ignore grey-market “Intergalactic keys” and fake PC storefronts. There is no PC SKU.

What not to buy for this game

• A graphics card “for the inevitable port.” No port is announced.
• A second console generation on the assumption this is a PS6 launch title. Sony’s public materials say PS5.
• Extra controllers for a second hunter. The design is single-player. See gameplay.
• Unofficial soundtrack CDs or art books that only steal the title.

Optional comfort items

• A capture button workflow if you plan to clip the first hour without spoiling friends. Naughty Dog stories are easy to ruin.
• The Last of Us Part II Remastered only if you want the Jordan jacket cosmetic; it is a fun cross-promotion, not required homework. Jordan’s page explains the nod.
• A reminder on your calendar to check the release tracker after the next PlayStation show, not every Monday.

When an install size, a Pro mode, or a 25GB language pack appears, this checklist will gain exact numbers. Until then it is a readiness list, not a spec sheet.
